Submission deadlines
Our next issue is a special, war-themed edition to tie in with the Cultural Precinct WINTERarts Australians and War program.
For the youth of 2015, immediate associations with the Anzac tradition might feel historic – we’re looking for fresh perspectives on Australia’s war history.
We accept art, fiction, photography, poetry, music, multimedia and more. If you’ve created an awesome thing, chances are we want to publish it.
Submissions close 8 July 2015.

Submitting your work
- Check that your work complies with the the specific genre guidelines detailed on this page.
- Please send your creative writing submission/s as a RTF (Rich Text Format) or Word Document; saving the document/s with the title of your work and your last name for the separate cover page.
- Send us your submission(s) via email to [email protected] along with a completed cover page (see right of screen).
Post-submission
You will receive a generic confirmation of your submission via email, and we will let you know as soon as a decision to accept, or to accept with amendments, or to not accept, has been made.
If the editors deem that the work may be suitable for publication after minor changes (for creative writing entries only), the specific points in question will be communicated to you. Given satisfactory amendment, publication will result. If not, the editors have the right to decline the submission.
The small print: Publication in Trove does not bar you from submitting and publishing the same piece of work at a later date in a different publication. Do not worry if you cannot exactly match your style of work to our editors’ specialties. We have wide-ranging interests and will recognise good work in any genre.
