Slip me hoops of
anaesthetic to feel through
Smoke rings to kiss through
I see all of your
buttons done and undone
Lids disappoint my eyes

Feed me through bars to lions,
who will defer when I beat my chest
and take only my rind
Expose my zest

Pin me to a gallery
wall with all those extra
arms you have and
paint me into it
If it’s all the same

Send me abroad so I can
parcel myself, smuggle in my
spare veins a lullaby
you’ll dream to
All those opiates
