MachinimUWA - Art, Architecture, Research, Teaching was created by Bradley Curnow.
The University of Western Australia is active across teaching, research, Art and Architecture in virtual worlds, such as hosting international competitions in 3D Art and Machinima (Video).
The first video challenge to display the strengths of UWA in virtual worlds was won by Cisko Vandevere of Berlin, Germany, with UWA Bachelor of Environmental Design student, Bradley Curnow’s MachinimUWA. The second international video challenge captured various 3D artworks that were submitted from around the world via UWA’s 3D Art challenge and Bradley shared first place with Laurina Hawks, of Ulm, Germany. The Australia/Germany juggernaut was finally broken in UWA's 3rd Video Challenge in which Bradley was on the judging panel, with joint winners coming from the Netherlands and India.
