This shot is an attempt to capture the tranquillity that lies on the flipside of our stressful daily lives. I have taken a different approach to the theme, focussing on the ‘grounds’ of my university. Those who know the place will know that behind the camera sits Reid Library, scene of many late nights frantically finishing assignments. This context really draws out the peaceful tone of the photo by contrast. My connection to this place exists in the balance between concentration and serenity.
